Non Violent Resistance (NVR) Introductory workshop with Al Coates MBE
£0.00
Wednesday 29th November, starting 6.30pm
Happy Faces is hosting a workshop aimed at Parents and Carers (or anyone who lives &/or works with children with additional needs).
Non Violent Resistance (NVR) with Al Coates MBE
The training is an introduction to a model of supporting Challenging Childhood Violent and Aggressive Behaviour called Non Violent Resistance.
NVR focuses on supporting parents in terms of their well-being, resilience, expectations, priorities and presence with their child as well as helping them build effective support networks around them.
Challenging Childhood Violent and Aggressive Behaviour affects many families caring for children who have had experienced early adversity or are diagnosed with health and neurological conditions.
The behaviour of children can often be isolating and very difficult for parents and carers to manage with support often not believing that the behaviour is present or understanding the impact on families and adult relationships.
Please note that Al normally runs this training over 3 nights so this is an introduction session only.
This session will be held at the Community Hub at 61 Front Street (opposite the Spetchells side entrance – parking available in the Coop car park).
