Happy Faces is hosting a workshop aimed at Parents and Carers (or anyone who lives &/or works with children with additional needs).

Managing Risky Behaviour with Vicki McKeown and Haley Muir

Following the success of (and fabulous feedback from) our previous workshops run by Vicki and Haley we’ve asked them back to run a session for us on Managing Risky Behaviour.

Vicki McKeown,  is a registered Social Worker, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, EMDR Practitioner and Independent Adoption Panel Member, and Haley Muir,  is a Strengths Based Freelance Consultant & Trainer and a former teacher and social worker.

The session will cover:

  • Risky behaviour versus developmental curiosity and exploration
  • Language and labels- how we see this behaviour influences how we respond
  • Importance of seeing behind the behaviour
  • Behaviour as risky or meeting a sensory need

This session will be held at The Family Hub (where we run the Happy Faces Sessions on Mondays) Broomhouse Ln, Prudhoe NE42 5FT (plenty of parking available).
