Many thanks to the Co-op Funeral care team who donated free tickets for Beamish Museum this weekend.

Everyone who went had a fantastic time, despite the pretty cold weather.

If you haven’t been to Beamish before it is definitely worth a visit – loads to do including travelling back in time to the times when Coal Mining was a big industry in the North East, a 1940s town, farming area and a steam train ride. They now have plans to include a 1950’s area.

They have buses and trams running across the site to transport you about, and at the moment there is a fab Santas Grotto for the kids and an ice rink if you’re brave enough.

Dogs are allowed on site (but not inside the buildings).
